The program is called Washington Summer Institute (WSI) and it will take place in July. WSI is currently accepting applications. An institution can submit a list of nominated students as a group. Individual applications may also be submitted via our website. Our application deadline is April 14, 2023.

The Washington Summer Institute offers three educational program tracks designed to enhance the experience of visitors to the Washington, DC Metropolitan area (see below). Participants can gain insight into the American experience while enjoying Mason’s beautiful campus and all the opportunities our proximity to Washington, DC provides.

Program Details:

- The 2-week program will run from July 1-15, 2023.
- The three education tracks are U.S. Politics, U.S. Culture, and U.S. Law.
- Visit U.S. landmarks like the Capitol Building, Library of Congress, Mount Vernon, and more.
- Watch Independence Day fireworks on the National Mall.
- The program is not for credit.
- All students are eligible.
- The cost is $3,200 per participant and includes room and board, 20+ hours of class time, site visits, airport pick up and drop off, and on-campus events.
