Dalhousie University Summer course: 
Explore migration and identity in comparative perspective


1. Course: Migration and Identity in Europe and Canada (POLI3820) 
   Topics covered include:  
   - Immigration policy: comparing Canada and Europe 
   - Multiculturalism: Canadian and European perspectives 
   - Identity politics in Europe and Canada 
   - Exploring Nova Scotia local communities 

2. Dates of Course: June 26-July 7 2023 

3. Application Deadline: February 1, 2023

4. Credit: This intensive, for-credit (3 credit hours or 6 ECTS) and in-person course brings together Canadian and international students to explore and compare Canadian and European experiences of migration and identity, through a combination of seminars, guest lectures, hands-on research projects, and field trips in Halifax and beyond.

5. Classroom sessions take place at the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, which provides an unparalleled learning experience through its exhibits, displays, oral history clips and artifacts.
