Greetings from the University of Amsterdam Summer Programmes Office!
We are nearing 1 April, the final deadline for applications for our on-campus summer programmes.
I’ll highlight three programmes below, please feel free to pass on
the information to any interested students.
- NEW: ‘Exploring (Non)Racial Amsterdam’ delves into the
dynamics of racialisation as they unfold in the urban fabric of Amsterdam.
Participants will gain awareness of the situated racialized and
convivial realities of the city while grasping the underlying processes of
othering from a personal and scientific perspective.
- NEW: In our programme ‘Mental Health, Youth and Society’ we'll examine the
intersection of public and behavioral health strategies to support health
and well-being in adolescents and young adults. Participants will be
learning from best practices as well as engage in interactive,
multi-modal, and problem-based learning to help tackle global health
challenges.
- Returning favourite: In Urban Studies: Planning and Living in Cities, students
get to explore the fundamental issues that are shaping the development and
evolution of cities in the 21st century. Amsterdam will provide a
fascinating laboratory for the exploration and examination of urban
issues.
Students from LERU and U21 member universities are still eligible
for €300 tuition reduction scholarships. These are awarded on a first-come
first-served basis, but we currently have some left.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch
with us! We hope this finds you happy and healthy, and are looking forward to
welcoming your students in our programmes.
Kind regards,
Charlotte Luttik
